Our unit is less than 6 years old and has required minor and major service 3x. Ranging from belt replacement to a new motor. Our household does not use the washer/dryer excessively, and we regularly clean the unit. Very disappointed in the reliability. When it works, it is fine.

Horrible Machine and Customer Service

My 91 year old mother purchased this for her apartment. This new unit replaced an older slightly smaller GE unit. She had no problems with her old unit. This new unit has given her nothing but problems!! It constantly goes out of balance when spinning making banging noises and actually knowing the front panel off the machine and moving the machine in her laundry closet. Today an extended warranty repair person was there. The machine moved so much it actually cracked the dryer vent that goes into the wall!! She's been doing laundry for many years. It is not user error!! GE replaced the inner tub and agitator, but the problem continued. It is intermittent. Initially we wanted the store to replace unit but they would not. We wanted GE to replace unit, but they would not! We will be purchasing a new unit from another company!! Extremely disappointed in GE!!

No water

No water comes out once i turn the washer on, just 2 squirts of water then nothing till i open the lid and close it then i will do 2 more then nothing.

This is a replacement for the same unit that died after about 20 years of heavy use.

This new model has way too many cycles, and no pull out clothes hanger. It hardly agitates compared to the old model. The only positive thing about it is that its quieter.

This machine arrived broken and I had to make another trip to the store where I bought it to report on the problem. I made a video of the very loud, metal banging noises and squeeking sounds during the spin cycle. The sales person arranged for the broken one to be picked tomorrow and a new one to be delivered in its place. All in all, poor quality control.

At first, I was skeptical about this washer / dryer unit, because I had one similar during my college years, over two and a half decades ago.
Not to worry though, because it works perfectly every time.
My clothes are always clean. Even bulky comforters and linens.
Had many improved features and does an excellent job.
The water temperatures, length of cycles, and the dryer is powerful as well.

Recently replaced a 25 yo washer/dryer combo that finally wore out. This unit takes 3 times the clothes and gets them cleaner than the old one. Fit our space perfectly. Needed a unitized washer/dryer because of limited space and to allow us to keep our utility sink.
